Electro sex is sexual stimulation with electrical current. When I first heard of it I was a bit dubious and thought that it would be more scary than sexy. A few years on and I am a major fan.

Pads directly from the retailers can be expensive when ones on Amazon or through the chemist will work and are much cheaper usually. As well as the box and whatever accessory you want to use a good water based lubricant is a necessity for play with most toys, the only exception being the pads that are usually self adhesive.

The first one i owned was the plug that came with my set (can be bought separately here) the one I have fits in my palm and has two metal plates on it that are the electric parts. it plugs into my machine using wires. I tend to use this vaginally although it is suitable for anal. when inside the sensations are really fun. on the higher pulse intensity settings on my machine it feels as if my muscles are moving due to orgasm or that something is fucking me. on the lower settings it increases blood flow to the area and feels almost like intense vibration. Admittedly this is the toy I use the most with my electro set, and the one I have had the longest.

I must admit that to me this toy sounded ideal but in reality it is one that I have struggled to use. The toy plugs into my machine at the bottom of the cone and the little rubber bits help you to hold it while it is in use. On me I've found that only the tip of the toy carries the sensation. The toy works best for me on the clitoral hood and surrounding area, but I have to be careful as if the toy strays over the clitoral nerve it can be really rather painful. Overall i tend to like my plug insertable better than this, but it is a matter of taste of the user more than an inherent flaw with the toy.

this is the most recent toy to my collection of electro sex ones, and one i quite
like using even without the electro current. The material is plated stainless steel so is rather cool on the skin and the ribs tend to hit my G spot really well. Using it with the elecro current i tend to leave it still as the higher settings on my machine make my muscles clench around it. Thrusting it also means that if i am not careful i can get an electric shock in the hands.
Those are the toys that I own but I have had experiences with the other main type of electro sex toy, the violet wand.
the one that I have had experiences with was a reconditioned Victorian one so it will be a little different to those that are manufactured new on the market. Reconditioned Victorian models are very expensive and it is hard to come across so the newer models are ideal for occasional use and those new to the world of electro sex.
violet wands are quintessential kinky and are much easier to use as a couple or in BDSM scenes because they are wand shaped. The sensation they give can be much stronger as well, ranging from a light tickle to a strong zap or even the sensation of something pointed running over your skin. It's much easier to use these in partner play because you can usually gauge how strong the current is by the light on the wands instead of by sensory means.
In conclusion there's plenty of things to explore in the world of electro sex, and lots of choice of accessory or types of toy to suit the individual. There's certainly more toys on the market that I want to add to my collection. Electro sex is also a lot more pleasurable and less scary than it initially seems. the only thing to remember with electro sex is "safe, sane and consensual."
